JAMMU, Aug 9: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu is organizing a Management Development Program (MDP) for 15 days (working), in residential mode for the Executives of SJVN from today.
The program was jointly inaugurated by Prof B S Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu and D P Kaushal, Executive Director (HR), SJVN Limited.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof B S Sahay emphasized on enjoying work so that one can achieve excellence. He stated that, there is no shortcut to success and one has to completely involve himself to be a winner. He further added that learning is always a two-way process and therefore encouraged the participants to be participative and get maximum benefit from the MDP.
D P Kaushal, Executive Director (HR), SJVN Limited was the guest of honor for the inaugural program. In his address, he encouraged all the SJVN Executives to develop their competencies and be better prepared as well as equipped for the future needs of business. He also encouraged participants to ask as many questions as possible during the MDP to enhance their learning. He further emphasized on the similarity between vision and goals of IIM Jammu and SJVN Limited, as both attribute great importance to integrity, social responsibility and sustainability.
Chairperson Executive Education, Prof Pankaj Agarwal, in his address underscored the objectives, both IIM Jammu and SJVN Limited have in common, i.e. to eradicate the darkness and illuminate the world, through different ways. He also shared details regarding various programs offered by Executive Education, IIM Jammu.
The introductory address on the inaugural session was given by Prof Sujeet Singh, Co-Director MDP and the session concluded with a vote of thanks given by Prof Mamta Tripathi, Co-Director MDP.
