SAMBA, Aug 9: There were long queues of patients at Community Health Centre (CHC) Ramgarh wherein some ailing people including elders had reached as early as 8:00 am to get examined first but the first doctor reached the medical institution at 11:10 am while the scheduled time for them is 10:00 am.
The patients waiting at the CHC informed that some doctors even reach after 11:30 am.
The CHC treats people of about 70 villages mostly of Indo-Pak border belt from Kolpur to Nandpur in district Samba.
Some locals informed that there is also shortage of doctors at the CHC as there is no permanent child specialist and ortho specialist.
Vinod Chowdhary—a local who brought his little daughter suffering ear pain at the CHC expressed anguish as other staff at the hospital does not cooperate and not even properly guides the patients.
A Sikh man had brought his mother, 75, to get treatment for her ailments but the elderly lady faced a lot of problems while waiting for the doctor in the sultry climate.
Locals have appealed to the Director Health Services Jammu to look into the matter.
