UDHAMPUR, Aug 9: A middle aged man was mauled to death by a bear at village Dhannas in tehsil Chenani, here today.
The deceased, namely Mohakam Din (50), son of Subha Din, resident of Dhannas Nagulta B, had gone to fetch water from a natural pond at Leniseri Matluwa B when the bear attacked him resulting into his death on the spot.
The badly mutilate dead body was found in the forest area and shifted to hospital for postmortem and other legal formalities. Meanwhile, inquest proceeding has been initiated by Police by registering a case under section 174 Crpc for further investigation.
