JAMMU, Aug 9: Two persons were killed in accidents here today.
As per police sources, a man died in accident after his scooty was hit by a truck in RS Pura.
The deceased was identified as Takeshwar, son of Koushal Parasad of Chattisgarh, at present RS Pura.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem.
RS Pura Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
Meanwhile, a pedestrian identified as Manjeet Singh, son of Puran Chand, a resident of Dabra, Tehsil Jourian was killed after he was hit by a Mahindra Bolera vehicle on Jourian road.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased has been handed over to family members for last rites.
Akhnoor Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
