Kupwara admn takes note of poor disposal of public grievances

SRINAGAR, Aug 10: The District Administration Kupwara has taken strong note of poor performance by the Tehsildar Handwara about the disposal of online public grievances.
In a letter written by the DC Kupwara, the concerned Tehsildar has been asked to clear the pending grievances failing which the matter will be taken up with the higher authorities.
“This refers to the poor performance and casual approach towards disposal of Online Grievances received from Lt. Governors Grievance Cell which has been viewed seriously by Higher Authorities,” reads the letter.
Whereas, the letter stated, despite regular reminders through Control Room DC Office Kupwara and Official WhatsApp Groups, you are asked to speed up the Disposal “as the said grievances at the G.portal is being continuously monitored by Lt. Governor’s G. Cell on daily basis and has highlighted poor performance with regard to District Kupwara.”
The DC stated in the letter that “due to your casual approach, the district is facing embarrassment as there is huge pendency against your Official portal.”
Further, the Tehsildar has been directed to dispose of the pending grievances by tomorrow positively failing which the matter will be taken with higher Authorities “for further course of action against you.”
The majority of the grievances that are lying pending with the concerned Tehsildar are regarding the encroachments.
