JAMMU, Aug 10: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Prof (Dr) Youdhvir Singh here today started work of raising the protection wall at Landoi Nalha near Ranibagh Bridge to save the adjoining residential areas from losses due flood at Nalha in rainy seasons.
It was a long pending demand of the people who suffered losses every year due to flooded Nalha in monsoons.
On this occasion, Jathadar S. Iqbal Singh Vicky narrated how his nephew suffered losses when his tile store was damaged with flood water.
Prof. Youdhvir expressed concern for public of the area and promised to take up various long pending development works soon.
He also visited Ajit Nagar and lamented slow pace of developmental works due paucity of funds.
S. Gurdev Singh, Paras Ram, S. Charanjit Singh, S. Rasbir Singh, S. Joginder Singh, S. Manjot Singh, Satish Kumar, Work Supervisor and S. Parveen Singh, Contractor were also present on the occasion.
