DODA, Aug 13: Former minister and District president of National Conference for Doda Khalid Najib Suhrawardy launched membership drive here today to strengthen and expand secular and progressive space in Doda district.
Khalid urged the cadre to take membership drive seriously to strengthen the party at grass- roots level, saying people have huge expectations from the party and its leadership. He said National Conference is committed to stand with the aspirations of people of the erstwhile State of Jammu & Kashmir.
Suhrawardy asks office bearers to reach out to public in every village of the district and strengthen its base ensuring joining of more and more people into the party.
Interacting with the delegates Suhrawardy asked them to work for strengthening party at grassroot level and to inculcate the programmes and policies of NC among people particularly youth. The membership drive was started at district headquarter Doda in presence of all party delegates from Block, Mohalla and many office bearers of the district.
