JAMMU, Aug 13: All J&K Retired Unregularised Electrical Engineers Forum (RUEEF) urged upon the J&K UT authorities to regularise retired engineers of PDD so that they could get proper pensionery benefits.
In a meeting of the Forum held today, the members discussed the issue of regularisation of retired engineers of PDD. They alleged that the authorities in J&K failed to regularize engineers to their next posts with all benefits during last two decades.
They said the last regularization order was issued during 2001, and that too, in pursuance to the Supreme Court Judgment and since then all the promotions to all the posts of engineering wing have been done as Incharge and stop gap arrangement. The engineers continued to retire without being confirmed as Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers and are still drawing their pension of the posts of AEE, AE and even JE, which is most unfortunate and mockery on the system existing in J&K.
They urged upon the J&K UT authorities to direct concern Administrative Department to initiate process confirmation/ regularization so that directives of the SAC of Oct 2019 are followed.
