BJP launches PMJKAY “Thaila”

JAMMU, Aug 14: J&K BJP launched “Thaila” to distribute dry ration to the needy under Pradhanmantri Gareeb Kalyan Ann Yojana (PMJKAY) at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here today.
BJP Jammu & Kashmir president, Ravinder Raina accompanied by J&K BJP secretary and convener, PMJKAY Ch. Vikram Randhawa, office secretary, Tilak Raj Gupta along with his co-convenors Shrey Sethi and Hari Om Sharma, convenor Jammu district Rajesh Gupta, convenor Jammu West district, Anu Behnal launched a “Thaila” having five kg of free dry ration per soul.
Ravinder Raina launching the “Thaila” (bag), said that this is a terrific public welfare scheme launched by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led Union Government to help the people in need in this COVID marred period. He complimented the Union Government for this endeavour to help the needy and stressed that every needy person in the nation is being taken care of by this public oriented Government. He said that keeping the purpose of “Antodaya” in mind, BJP cadre is working day and night to ensure that no one sleeps hungry in the country. The Modi Government stands with the countrymen at every step in this pandemic,” he said.
Vikram Randhawa speaking on the occasion said that the work on PMJKAY is being launched at war footing. He said that it is our endeavour that our volunteers reach every beneficiary in J&K and ensure that the benefits reach them. He said that work under this Yojana is already being done at ground level with the help of district and Mandal convenors at the ground level since past one month. Speaking about this “Thaila”, he said that ration to be delivered to the needy is comprised of four kg flour and one kg rice.
