JAMMU, Aug 14: A protest sit in was held by the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir  Front (SKF) at Jagti township Nagrota today.
Addressing the protesters, Shadi Lal Pandita president, JTC and SKF said that his organisation is protesting for 316th days but the Government continues to maintain silence over the demands.
He said the relief holders are on streets demanding enhancement of relief to Rs 25,000 as the poor people are unable to make their both ends meet on meagre cash relief.
He also demanded Government jobs for unemployed youth and interest -free loans be given to over-aged youth.
Pandita said that Kashmiri Pandits have suffered a lot of loss in shape of property and crops for the last 32 years of turmoil and the same be compensated.
He demanded settlement of Pandits in three townships in Kashmir in districts of Srinagar, Baramulla and Anantnag with announcement of 20,000 Government jobs for unemployed youth along with sanction of 5000 class fourth posts for those youth of the community who due to poverty could not continue their higher education.
