Three arrested for rioting, kidnapping, snatching

JAMMU, Aug 19: Bakshi Nagar Police arrested three persons for rioting, kidnapping and snatching.
As per police sources, a complaint was received on behalf of a man namely Sachin Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar of Rajpura Mangotrian District Jammu wherein the complainant stated that a person namely Vishu along with his four unknown associates came in a Fortuner car, kidnapped him from Shakti Nagar and took him to Bhagwati Nagar near DRDO Hospital where they abused, attacked and undressed him viz recorded the whole incident in a mobile phone. Complainant also alleged that the kidnappers were carrying pistols and sharp edged weapons in hands and Vishu also pointed pistol on his head and threatened to kill him. The complainant also alleged that the kidnappers snatched his purse containing Rs 4500, one gold chain weighing around 8 grams and threw him out of the car.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 124/2021 under Sections 147, 364, 382 and 323 IPC, 3/25 and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, three accused namely Vishu Sharma, son of Suraj Prakash of Puran Nagar Bhagwati Nagar District Jammu, Munish Kumar Thapa, son of late Madan Lal of Sarika Vihar Sunder Nagar Talab Tillo District Jammu and Vishal Mehra, son of Thoru Ram of Bhagwati Nagar District Jammu were arrested. Moreover, the Fortuner car bearing registration number JK02BU-2225 used during the commission of crime was also seized.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
The arrest was made by SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ravi Kant under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar and SP City Mohita Sharma.
