JAMMU, Aug 19: Jammu and Kashmir BJP, Secretary, Rekha Mahajan, distributed Ayushman Health Cards among male and female beneficiaries in a programme held in Ward Number 30 of Talab Tillo here.
The programme was organised by BJP Talab Tillo Mandal President, Keshav Chopra.
Rekha Mahajan, on this occasion, said that the Government of Jammu and Kashmir is improving its health care facilities with each passing day. She while elaborating, said that Jammu and Kashmir has the distinction of being first in India to announce universal health care for all residents. The world’s largest health insurance and assurance scheme, which is fully financed by the Government, provides a cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation across public and private empanelled hospitals in India, Mahajan informed.
She said that health of a person is paramount over every other necessity, so the implementation of the schemes should be brisk and missionary. With this objective, the government has directed the officers to cover families under the schemes on a mission mode, she stated.
Under the said schemes, poor and marginalized will be benefitted most. The Government has also asked officers to set target of at least registering 8000-10000 beneficiaries every day to accomplish the task on time. The Government has further asked its insurance partner to make the process simple so that there is timely disbursement of claims.
It was revealed that around 4907408 Ayushman (Golden) cards have been generated so far and provided to beneficiaries. With such schemes the health care system of Jammu and Kashmir is now touching new heights, she added.
Rekha distributed these cards in presence of Senior leader Ayodhya Gupta, Veena Gupta, District General Secretary Rajesh Gupta, Puneet Mahajan, Munish Gupta and Vinod Singh Wazir.
