Bank employees to oppose privatization

JAMMU, Aug 20: A meeting of constituent units of all banks was held here today under the banner of Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation.
The meeting was presided over by Tara Singh, Federation president.
Speaking in the meeting Federation general secretary, Arun Kumar Gupta informed that they welcome the call of AIBEA to start a strong and effective campaign against the move of the Government to privatize public sector banks.
The meeting also decided to be in readiness to start strikes, continuous strike etc as may be warranted and decided by AIBEA to oppose the attempts of privatization of public sector banks at short notice.
Arun Kumar asked the employees to take steps to oppose the move of Government by signature campaign, distribution of leaflets/pamphlets, mass memorandum by branches, social media team etc.
Ashwani Pardhan, general secretary AIBOA (J&K) also attended the meeting while Harminder Singh, Avinash Sharma, Yogesh Kumar, Harbans and others were also present in the meeting.
