JAMMU, Aug 23: Apni Trade Union organised a meeting of Union leaders and workers to discuss various issues of daily wagers and contractual workers, here today.
The meeting was chaired by the president, Apni Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi.
Kazmi expressed serious concern over the plight of the daily wagers and contractual workers in different departments of the Government in Jammu and Kashmir. “The Apni Trade Union will continue to raise issues of the general public, particularly daily wagers, contractual workers, and other types of employees,” Kazmi said.
He demanded employee’s friendly atmosphere in the Government Departments so that they do not work under pressure. “Many Government offices have poor infrastructure where employees work without proper facilities yet,” he said.
Provincial secretary, Dr Rohit Gupta, Provincial president, Raj Sharma, District president, Urban, Anirudh Vasist, District general secretary urban, Dalbir Singh, District president Samba, Sunny Sambyal, general secretary Samba, Farooq Chouhan and others were present during the meeting.
