SRINAGAR, Aug 23: Shah Aijaz Ahmed, a senior journalist, social activist, youth counsellor, motivator and President of Ganderbal Media Guild, was awarded with the “Indian Heroes Award” at the national level for his responsible journalism, social services as well as for inculcating positive mental and physical attitude among people across India.
He was honoured with the Indian Heroes Award for his selfless service to the common people by the famous Bollywood and TV actor Rohitashv Gour at award function in Mumbai.
On the occasion, Ghazal maestro Padma Shri Anoop Jalota, actress Pratima Kannan, Yashpal Sharma and other personalities were felicitated at the special function organized by the country’s renowned platform All India Artists Association (AIAA) in Film City Mumbai.
Prizes and certificates were awarded to those who rendered tireless services for the humanity. The only person from Jammu and Kashmir to receive the award was Shah Aijaz, who has been doing his best in the field of journalism besides educating public about COVID-19 causes, effects and precautionary measures.
Aijaz visited various states of the country during 2019-2021 and collaborated with various NGOs and other social organisations to promote positive journalism, sports and cultural activities, youth counselling and other humanitarian activities.
Announcing the award for Shah Aijaz Ahmed, famous Bollywood and television actor Rohitashv Gour and his wife Dr Rekha Gour praised Shah Aijaz’s work and congratulated him for this prestigious national award for his services. He was also appreciated for his work and services rendered to AIAA.
Meanwhile, all the members of Ganderbal Media Guild congratulated Shah Aijaz, President of the Guild and expressed best wishes for him.
