Unemployed Engineers Association expresses concern over Govt’s order

JAMMU, Aug 24: All J&K Unemployed Engineers Association expressed concern over Government’s order of engaging retired JEs and AEs on contractual basis.
Basharat Ali, Chairman of Association said in a statement here today that this is eyewash to all young engineers who are jobless struggling for jobs since years.
He also added that what is the fun of opening new engineering polytechnic and degree colleges if Government is keen to engage retired staff.
Muktesh Yogi, President of Association also called it bad exercise to demoralise young aspirants who are keen to get appointment as Government engineers in various departments.
“If departments are suffering due to shortage of staff and have limited vacant posts why these posts are not advertised for sake of unemployed youth so as to give employment opportunities to young engineers who are struggling here for their livelihood”, he questioned?.
Basharat and Muktesh jointly appealed to the Administration and LG J&K UT Manoj Sinha to intervene in this matter and do needful to boost morale of young desiring engineers who have been preparing since long for these employment opportunities.
