JAMMU, Aug 25: Management of ASCOMS and ICICI Bank here today jointly organised a function to felicitate Corona Warriors of ASCOMS & Hospital.
The chief guest on this occasion was Dr. Shashi Sudan, Principal, Govt Medical College, Jammu while Vishal Batra, younger brother of Kargil War Hero, Param Veer Chakra Capt. Vikram Batra presided over the function. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were D.K Batra, Secretary ASCOMS & Hospital, Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS & Hospital. The function was also attended by a large number of faculty members, paramedical staff and other administrative staff of ASCOMS & Hospital and resident doctors.
Speaking on the occasion Vishal Batra of ICICI Bank lauded the role of doctors and paramedical staff of ASCOMS & Hospital to fight with the deadly Coronavirus during its first and second wave and said that their services need due recognition and as such ICICI Bank has come forward to felicitate the Corona warriors of ASCOMS & Hospital for the care given by them to COVID patients during trying situation.
In his address, Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS & Hospital thanked ICICI Bank administration for recognizing the efforts put in by doctors and paramedical staff of ASCOMS & Hospital to cure COVID patients.
A handout stated that 589 COVID patients were admitted in ASCOMS & Hospital during first wave from March 31, 2020 to February 2021 while 396 COVID patients were admitted in the hospital during second wave from March 18, 2021 to till date.
