Ex-CPFWA urges Govt to fulfill pending demands

JAMMU, Aug 25: Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association urged Central Government to fulfill long pending demands.
A meeting of Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association, consisting of BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF and Assam Rifle, was held on Wednesday at Paloura Camp, here.
The meeting was attended by IG BSF, Nodal officers Jammu province, DIG CRPF Jammu district nodal officers, CISF Comdt., Chairman Sat Pal Bhagat, President Shashi Sharma and General Secretary Darshan Kumar. They discussed problems being faced by paramilitary forces.
Darshan Kumar Chauhan, General Secretary of Association demanded grant of similar benefits as available to BSF, ITBP and NSG, including One-Rank-One pension (OROP), CSD canteen facilities, proper medical treatment facilities, extending all post retirement benefits on declaration of ex-CAPF status similar to defense force ex-servicemen/widows and dependants, restorations of stopped pension, special 10 percent quota for their ward in force recruitment etc.
