REASI, July 4: On the eve of District Development Board meeting, Panchayat Parishad Reasi has put forth several demands for their consideration by the Government.
A meeting of the Panchayat Parishad was held today under the chairmanship of Shakti Pal Singh for highlighting the demands, which included upgradation of old high schools, particularly Government High School Kundra, speedy completion of PMGSY roads in the district, protection wall along river Chenab to arrest the erosion of soil, etc.
They also demanded creation of new block Katra and bifurcation of Mahore block, empowerment of Panchayats and empowerment of Judicial Adalats. The Panchayat Parishad urged the Government to consider all these demands in tomorrow’s District Development Board meeting.
Those who attended the meeting included Bodh Raj, Sansar Chand, Sham Lal, Kanta Devi, Pt Som Dutt, Girdhari Lal, Mohd Sharief and others.
