JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Aug 25: Kashmir valley today reported 100 new COVID positive cases while Jammu region recorded 26 and Union Territory of Ladakh only one fresh case of infection.
Among 26 new cases in Jammu region, six were reported from Kathua, five each in Doda and Jammu, four Poonch, three Rajouri and one each in Kishtwar, Ramban and Reasi districts. Udhampur and Samba districts didn’t report any fresh cases.
Twenty four persons today recovered from the virus.
Jammu region now has 1,22,861 Corona cases. Among them, 354 are active positives while 1,20,344 have recovered and there were 2163 casualties.
The Union Territory of Ladakh registered only one COVID positive case today, which was reported from Leh district.
Ladakh now has 55 active positive cases.
In Kashmir division, 100 new COVID positive cases were reported today.
