3 OGWs arrested in Handwara

SRINAGAR Aug 26: Three Over Ground Workers of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) who were involved in the grenade attack on a CRPF camp in Langate area of North Kashmir were today arrested by security forces.
Police said that during investigation of the case of grenade attack on CRPF camp Langate, on the basis of reliable input a joint operation was launched by Police and 30 RR and during which one OGW Ishfaq Ahmad Dar son of Wali Mohammad Dar of Shatpora Mohalla, Langate was apprehended.
“On his disclosures the joint CASO team recovered arms and ammunition from his possession. On further interrogation, involvement of two more OGWs Jamsheed Ah Shah son of Sunallaha Shah of Chak Mohalla, Langate and Javed Ahmad Khan son of Farooq Ahmad Khan of Asthan Mohalla, Langate came forth and they were also apprehended along with arms and ammunition”, police said.
“It was revealed that all three OGWs were associated with LeT and were involved in supporting the terrorist activities and they admitted their involvement into the grenade attack at Langate on 16th Aug, 2021”, police said.
They have been booked under IPC Section 307 and Explosive Substances Act Section 3/4 of FIR No 260/2021 dated 16th Aug, 2021 of PS Handwara.
