JAMMU, Aug 27: Punjab Government’s established Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) at Bathinda will provide a golden opportunity to students of far flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir with a world class quality technical education in premier Government institute.
This was stated by MRSPTU, Vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Buta Singh Sidhu, while addressing a press conference here today.

Prof Sidhu said University will help the students of Jammu and Kashmir in realising dreams in higher education and studying abroad through various pathway programmes initiated by the premier University. All Central and State Government scholarship and welfare schemes are available in the University, he added.
Giving details about collaborative pathway education program between MRSPTU and Wayne State University (WSU), the VC said a student after studying in the MRSPTU for three years will complete the fourth and fifth-year of study at WSU under 3 plus 2 and 3 plus 1 programme.
“The University has also collaboration with top global universities like Thompson Rivers University (Canada), Synergy University (Russia), other famous foreign Universities for credit transfer study paving the way for opening doors wide open for the brilliant students aspiring to undertake study abroad. University is also having strong partnership with prominent corporate and Industrial houses”, Vice Chancellor informed.
After completion of a 4 year course, the MRSPTU student will get BTech degree from WSU as well as from MRSPTU, Bathinda. Besides, under a 5 year programme, both BTech and Master’s degrees will be awarded by WSU, he said, adding that MRSPTU Bathinda is one of the front ranking educational Institution of Punjab, which has become epitome of professional education and centre point of excellence in technical and scientific education.
