JAMMU, Aug 28: Much awaited election of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu was held at High Court Complex today.
Out of total 1591 votes, 1413 were polled till 5 pm, when the electoral exercise concluded.
Four candidates namely Ashok Sharma, M K Bhardwaj, K Nirmal Kotwal and Ranjit Singh are in fray for the post of President while as four candidates namely Gurjeet Singh Wazir, Mohinder Pal Singh (Palli), Prem Singh Pawar and Rohit Verma are contesting for the post of Vice-President.

For General Secretary post, Amit Gupta, Himanshu Sharma and Surjeet Singh Andotra are in fray while as for Joint Secretary post Aditya Sharma and Atul Raina are contesting. Amandeep Singh and Sahil Sharma are in fray for the post of Treasurer.
According to the Returning Officer, the counting will start at 1 PM tomorrow and results would be declared late in the evening.
