JAMMU, Aug 28: J&K Field Employees Association of Election Department here today elected Rattan Chand Thakur as Association president while Showket Ahmed Dar, Baramulla, has been elected as vice president.
A handout of the Association stated that Koser Naz, JMC, has been elected as general secretary; Parvaiz Ahmed, Srinagar, secretary; Javaid Ahmad Ganaie, Budgam, organizing secretary; Peer Darakshan, Srinagar, publicity secretary; Mudasir Slam, treasurer Kashmir province and Niku Ram, treasurer Jammu province.
On this occasion general body of the Association demanded removal of pay anomalies of election field staff at par with their Revenue counterparts, creation of posts of Tehsildar Election at district level, making the post of Assistant Chief Electoral Officer from department field staff, elevation of posts of Election Officers as Tehsildar Election, regular DPC twice a year, release of one month salary for conduct of DDC election etc.
