UDHAMPUR, Aug 28: The residents of Subash Nagar submitted a memorandum to the President Municipal Council demanding not to change the name of streets.
A deputation including BD Gupta, former ZEO, Ashok Sehgal, Parmanand Sharma, DK Balgotra former AEE and residents of Subash Nagar submitted a memorandum to Yogesh Gupta President Municipal Council Udhampur and demanded not to change the name of streets of Udhampur City.
It is pertinent to mention here that in 1985, the people of all the communities unanimously resolved to name this mohalla as Subhash Nagar after the great Indian leader Subhash Chander Bose who sacrificed his life for Mother India.
