JAMMU, Aug 30: Former Member Legislative Council (MLC) and J&K BJP unit secretary, Vikram Randhawa, who is also the convenor of the Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojna (PMGKAY) distributed ration among the beneficiaries of PMGKAY at Ward 47, Bahu Fort in presence of Councillor Sharda Devi, here today.
While speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that under this scheme, the Government has saved crores of families from starvation amid COVID-19 pandemic. “The BJP Government launched this scheme after keeping in mind the sufferings of the downtrodden sections of the society and it proves that the BJP is the only party which cares for everyone, especially the poor one,” he asserted.
He urged upon the Party cadres to ensure that the scheme is implemented in toto and those beneficiaries of the scheme may be benefitted.
He appealed the people to follow appropriate COVID-19 behaviour to bring an end to this deadly pandemic. “If the people follow the guidelines of the Government there is no chance of a third wave in the country and sooner everything will be normal,” he said.
Hari Om Sharma, Vivek Patyal, Dalbir Singh, Vishal Gupta, Monnu, Sumit, Sandeep Gupta and others were present during the event.
