JAMMU : A new batch of 3,250 pilgrims today left for the holy Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas from Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar base camp in this winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The batch comprising 2,452 males, 720 females, 28 children and 50 sadhus left for the Amarnath cave shrine in a convoy of 93 vehicles including 34 State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) buses, 41 private vehicles and 18 Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs),” an official spokesperson said.
He said the first bus left at around 0515 hrs and the last at 0530 hrs.
