KISHTWAR, Aug 31: Kishtwar Police registered FIR against miscreants for sharing communally sensitive content on social media.
As per police sources, a video was in circulation on the social media showing skin of bovine animal.
Considering the sensitivity of the video clip with respect to communal harmony in the area, a case FIR Number 206/2021 under relevant Sections was registered in Police Station Kishtwar.
The Cyber Cell of the District Police was activated, teams were constituted and deputed for the arrest of accused persons.
Subsequently, few suspects has been picked up for questioning and ascertaining the facts.
After preliminary investigation, it surfaced that the video was reportedly shot in a nallah of Palmar area of Police Station Kishtwar.
Furthermore, the miscreants are warned not to circulate any video which will disturb the peace and communal harmony of the area otherwise action under law shall be initiated against them.
