UDHAMPUR, July 6: Foiling another bid of bovine smuggling, Police rescued four animals and arrested two smugglers.
Reports said that acting on specific information, A Police party from Kud Police Station laid a naka and intercepted two Mahindra vehicles bearing registration number JK02AC-8702 and JK02AC-3643, which were on way to Kashmir. Four bovines, which were being smuggled in these vehicles, were rescued. Police also seized the vehicles and arrested the smugglers, whose identity was established as Shakeel Chowdhri of Chanderkot and Junaid Ali of R S Pura.
