Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, July 6: Tax Bar Association (TBA) observed one day token strike and abstained work against the wrong imposition of tax on Advocates as consultants by virtue of levy of the same by the Government. The members of the Association totally abstained from the regular appearance before the various Commercial Taxes authorities and the Commercial Taxes Department gave a deserted look. Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association also supported and participated in the ongoing agitation and held that further line of action will be communicated in the days to come. The members of the Tax Bar Association present in the agitation were Subash Dutt, MM Gupta and BB Bakshi, senior advocates, Mohinder Gupta, BM Mangotra, VK Suri, Sanjeev Nanda, Rakesh Kapahi, Ravinder Kapoor and Vinod Nagpal, Advocates.
