JAMMU, Sept 4: Dogra Front and Shiv Sena J&K workers led by their president, Ashok Gupta, today staged a protest demonstration against fake Ambulance Charitable Trusts charging hefty amount from patients.
Gupta claimed that these ambulance drivers are in hand and glove with charitable organizations as these drivers of these ambulances belong to hospitals of Ludhiana, Chandigarh and Amritsar and they take the patients to private hospitals in these cities.
He further said that there are some clinics in Jammu run by Amritsar based hospitals which talk bad of Jammu doctors to change mind of the patients so that they can be diverted to Amritsar to spend uselessly on unwanted things on pretext of treatment.
The Shiv Sena leader hailed the efforts of Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer for fixing the fare per km for ambulances.
Ashish, Brij, Bantu, Prem, Rampal, Kalu, Vinay, Nanki, Naresh, Gulshan and others were also present in the protest.
