UDHAMPUR, Sept 6: The operation of JKRTC bus service between Jammu and remote township of Dudu in Udhampur district via Chenani was commenced today.
Official sources said that it was long pending demand of the people from this remote Dudu Sub Division to have direct RTC bus service from Jammu. They took up the matter with DC Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib during her recent visit to the area.
The bus will start from Jammu Bus Stand at 5 am in the morning and reach Udhampur (Town Hall) from where it will start its onward journey at 6.30 am and reach Chenani at 7.30 am and reach Latti at 10 am and Dudu (Kirchi) at 11 am. It will start its back journey at 1 pm from Dudu and from Latti at 2.30 pm and reach Jammu at around 6.30 pm.
Sarpanch Dudu Dev Raj along with other Panchayat members from Dudu/Kirchi felicitated the RTC driver and conductor on their first arrival at Dudu town. They said that this bus will facilitate a lot to the Government employees serving in this remote belt and extended gratitude to DC Udhampur for her support.
