No-Confidence Motion against Samba BDC chairperson

SAMBA, Sept 6: After the suspension of the female Sarpanch of Pandhour Samba, 11 out of 12 Sarpanches of Samba block have moved a No-Confidence Motion against the chairperson of Block Development Council (BDC) Samba, Kamlesh Kumari, which was accepted by the Secretary, Block Development Council, Samba and sent it to the District Panchayat Officer for action.
The Sarpanches, while moving the No Trust Motion against BDC chairperson have blamed her for gross misconduct saying that since she took the oath as BDC, chairperson she did not participate in any meeting till date and has also misused the funds of Government schemes on her own free will. While making allegations they said that BDC chairperson, Kamlesh Kumari has not even visited to the Panchayats of Samba, nor tried to have any coordination with any Panchayat representatives.
The No Trust Motion has been submitted to Secretary, Block Development Council Samba who has written a letter to District Panchayat Officer, Samba to take up the same for discussion under rule 81 of J&K Panchayati Raj Rules of 1996.
To debate the Motion under the Panchayati Raj Act 1989, a meeting has been called on the 17th of this month in which chairperson BDC will present her side.
The Sarpanches who have signed the No Trust Motion among others included Reena Choudhary, Pardeep Kumar Lalotra, Ravinder Singh, Parveen Choudhary, Vinod Kumar, Bansi Lal, Krishan Lal, Som Nath, Girdhara Singh, Shivali Sharma and Asha Devi.
