SRINAGAR, Sept 7: Police today said to have destroyed bung cultivation in Trigam Sumbal, Narayan Bagh, Dab, Shalhar & Khan Mohalla areas of Bandipora and Ganderbal.
In Bandipora, a police team from Police Station Sumbal under the supervision of SDPO Sumbal Surender Mohan have destroyed wild bung in the Trigam area.
Similarly in Ganderbal, a Police party of Police Post Shadipora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal carried out a bung destruction drive along with the Revenue Department in Narayan Bagh, Dab, Shalhar and Khan Mohalla areas of Ganderbal.
The general public of the area have appreciated the action of the Police and have urged to continue such drives in nearby areas also.
