UDHAMPUR, Sept 9: A youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Adarsh Colony Udhampur.
A police spokesman said that Lokesh Gupta (21), son of Sanjay Gupta, resident of Adarsh Colony, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. The family members noticed him in serious condition and rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur. In view of his serious condition, he was taken to ASCOMS Batra Hospital Jammu where he died during treatment.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
