JAMMU, Sept 9: Shadi Lal Pandita president Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) has criticized the Government for maintaining a stoic silence over the demands of the migrants sitting on protest in Jagti township for last 342 days.
Addressing the protestors of JTC and SKF today, he said JTC delegation will meet vice president All India Congress Committee (AICC) Rahul Gandhi tomorrow and apprise him of the callous attitude of the Government towards the demands of the displaced Pandits from Valley. The delegation will also submit a memorandum to him in this regard, he added.
Pandita who is also convener Migrant Cell PCC said the JTC activists also welcomed Rahul Gandhi at National Highway while he was on way to darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi today. He has agreed to meet the delegation of JTC and SKF tomorrow to listen their demands, Pandita added.
The other leaders who were present included P L Thusoo chairman of JTC. Raj Kumar Tickoo unit president and convener of SKF, Kashi Nath Bhat, vice president JTC, Ravinder Koul general secretary etc.
