KISHTWAR, Sept 9: Two bootleggers were held today with illicit liquor by Kishtwar Police.
Continuing its drive against illicit liquor, a police team led by In-Charge Model Naka Drabshalla PSI Kanwar Rishav Jasrotia during routine naka checking at Model Naka Drabshalla intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK17-6286 and during frisking of the vehicle, recovered 114 bottles of JK whisky.
The liquor was seized while the two persons on board the vehicle were arrested. The arrested persons were identified as Zahoor Ahmed (driver of the vehicle) son of Abdul Majid, resident of Gadsoo and Ajay Kumar (conductor) son of Bharat Bushan, resident of Shiva.
In this connection, a case FIR number 214/2021 under Section 48 (A) Excise Act was registered at Police Station Kishtwar and further investigation started.
