Five injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, July 8: Five persons were injured two of them seriously in two separate road mishaps in Kathua district today.
According to police a motor cycle bearing number JK08-6468 which was on its way from Khrot to Lakhapur collided with a Maruti car bearing number DL 6m-0888 at Khrot More today. The Maruti was coming from opposite direction.
The motorcyclist identified as Kewal Singh and the pillion rider Shiv Ram were seriously injured and they were shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment while another pillion rider Shiv Ram’s wife Trishula Devi received minor injuries and she was taken to District Hospital Kathua.
Lakhanpur Police has registered a case and detained maruti driver for questioning.
In another road mishap two motorcycles coming from opposite direction to each other collided at Chamb Rorian and both motor- cyclists were injured in the mishap.
They were identified as Mutan Singh and Divinder Singh. Both were admitted in District Hospital Kathua. The Kathua police has registered a case.
