JAMMU, Sept 12: A meeting of retired police officers and officials was held today under the chairmanship of their president A K Mahajan SSP (Retd) to discuss their demands.
The meeting was attended by large number of officers/officials. During the meeting, various issues like raising of medical allowance for retired officials from Rs 300 to Rs 1000, separate registration counter for retired police officers at Police Hospital, implementation of court order with regard to fifth pay commission in respect of NGOs, proper attention by concerned SHOs/Territorial officers to genuine grievances of retirees and reservation for wards of ex-policemen in recruitment etc were deliberated upon and it was decided to project these to higher ups in the Police Department.
