JAMMU, Sept 13: Rashmi Shukla, an IPS officer, has been posted as Additional Director General CRPF for Jammu and Kashmir Zone.
In her post on the CRPF’s website, Shukla said she deems it an honour that charge of Jammu and Kashmir Zone of the CRPF has been entrusted on her.
The Zone has operational jurisdiction over five States and two UTs including J&K, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, NCT of Delhi and Chandigarh.
It has 80 operational battalions including one Mahila battalion, Special Duty Group etc.
“The battalions have been attending to challenging duties like combating terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, detailing Road Opening Parties, Static Guards, Parliament security, guarding PMO and residences of SPG protectees besides places like Mata Vaishno Devi Ji shrine and ensuring safety of pilgrims of annual Shri Amarnath Yatra.
