RAMBAN, Sept 14: Need based workers of Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC) held protest here at Chanderkote and projected their demands.
A large number of need based workers of JKSPDC assembled at Chanderkote here and held protest. They raised slogans in favour of their demands.
“We are demanding release of our pending wages viz regularisation of services”, one of the protestor said while talking to media persons.
He added that their salaries are pending since long and no one from the JKSPDC is bothered about that.
“Our families are at the verge of starvation but no official is concerned about that”, he said and demanded release of their pending wages as soon as possible.
“We are working in JKSPDC since long and still our services are not regularised”, another protestor said and demanded regularisation of the services of the need based workers.
“If the Corporation fails to redress our genuine issues, we will come on road and also block the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway”, the protestors warned before dispersing.
