JAMMU, Sept 14: An old woman died due to drowning in Ranbir canal today, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Kamlesh Devi, wife of Uttam Singh, a resident of Mishriwala. The lady drowned in canal near Mishriwala and her body was later recovered near Purkhoo.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
Kanachack Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
