KATHUA, Sept 14: A seminar on the topic “Honesty and Credibility Leads to Success” was organized by IRP 19th Battalion here at Battalion headquarters in which speakers from all companies participated and threw light on the subject.
The seminar was presided over by SSP Benam Tosh Commandant IRP 19th Battalion, whereas SP Santokh Raj Deputy Commandant and other officers and jawans attended this well organized discussion on moral values, professional ethics, integrity and trustworthiness.
The speakers who shared their viewpoints on the topic included Ashok Kumar, Shamas Din, Suram Chand, Fathe Singh, Sher Ali, Gulzar Ahmad, Javid Ahmad, Mukhtiyar Ahmad, Asha Dhanwal, Shabnam Devi, Preeti Jasrotia and Supriya Andotra.
First, second and third positions were bagged by Preeti Jasrotia, Sher Ali and Asha Dhanwal respectively. All the speakers were honoured with cash rewards, trophies and commendation certificates.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Benam Tosh CO IRP 19th Battalion affirmed that honesty and credibility are a must to prevent, detect and control crime and bring criminals to justice. He further said that people want to get rid of crime and militancy and therefore provide timely information to trustworthy police officials who bring the criminals and anti national elements to book with dedication and honesty and take further lead. Police should come up to the expectations of the peace loving people by pursuing investigations with objectivity, impartiality and professional approach exhibiting high degree of integrity and credibility , he added.
Benam Tosh exhorted the officials to follow path of uprightness, truthfulness and honesty throughout in police life, personal life as well as in public dealings and not to deviate from the path of trustworthiness even while coming across difficult situations, adverse circumstances and dilemmas. Police officials should strive to excel in all fields adopting, dedicated, honest and credible approach so as to clear the society of all kinds of crime and terrorism. Honesty and credibility lead to success, he asserted.
