JAMMU, Sept 14: Digiana Police arrested a drug peddler along with 900 grams cannabis.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Post Digiana led by ASI Subash Chander under the supervision of Incharge Police Post Digiana SI Tarsem Raj and SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bharat Sharma laid a naka at Rani Talab and intercepted a car bearing registration number JK02CR-2850.
During checking, police team recovered 900 grams cannabis from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was identified as Munish Gupta, son of Gopal Krishan Gupta, a resident of Preet Nagar Digiana District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 261/2021 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
