JAMMU, Sept 16: Senior Congress leaders Mula Ram and Hari Singh Chib today alleged that the sole purpose of Union Ministers to visit J&K UT, especially the Kashmir is to have good time as weather in New Delhi at this time of the year is unbearable.
In a joint press statement former Minister Mula Ram and DCC Jammu Rural chief Hari Singh Chib said that like the outreach programme-I, the second phase is also an eye wash since no change on ground was visible after the season one of this ‘drama’ enacted by PM Narendra Modi’s brigade of Ministers.
“It is simply a tactics of PM Modi’s group of ministers to befool the people of J&K as the real intent is to escape the extreme weather conditions in Delhi and spend a pleasant time in the Valley as maximum number of visits have been scheduled for Kashmir and not Jammu which has weather identical to Delhi”, they said adding that the real picture of the whole gamut can be seen by simply taking a round of Jammu city.
“The entire Government machinery including PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, is boasting of colossal development taking place in J&K but the reality can be gauged by the kingsize potholes welcoming commuters on the prestigious Tawi Bridge in centre of the Jammu City and defected tube of the new flyover dedicated to people by the so called development-oriented BJP Government. The situation of power is also grim and drinking water supply also depends on the mood of PHE department officials as every next day people of different localities are on roads seeking regular potable water supply”, they said.
The senior Congress leaders said that like Outreach Programme-I, the season two is also a wasteful exercise burden of which will be put on the shoulders of common man as this is nothing but official picnic of the Ministers making the poor UT poorer as the expenses of these spendthrift Ministers are supposed to be taken out from public exchequer.
