JAMMU, Sept 16: Dr Avtar Singh, Chief Orthopaedic & Joint Replacement Surgeon at Amandeep Group of Hospitals brought a new hope for one of his patients who had lost his both legs in a train accident.
Twenty-three year-old Rajesh had both his legs amputated after a train accident. He was brought to Amandeep Hospital in a painful condition. Lost in his despair and pain, Rajesh thought he would never be able to live a normal life. But Dr Avtar gave him a ray of hope with implantation of artificial limbs and this became a life-changing procedure for Rajesh.
After recovering successfully, he today wears a broad smile as he has returned to leading a happy and contented life. He is having more than 10 million followers in josh App. He is a passionate dancer and can pursue his passion with the support of his artificial legs.
“After the accident, I had lost all hope and felt that life would be miserable. But Dr Avtar and the staff of Amandeep Hospital have brought back mobility to my life and an opportunity to earn my bread, without being dependent on anyone,” said Rajesh.

Going a step further, Dr Avtar Singh today donated a bicycle to Rajesh. Dr Singh said this bicycle symbolizes independence and hope. I wish Rajesh all the very best in life, he added.
