Demands of teaching, non-teaching cadre raised

JAMMU, Sept 16: Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) has raised demands of teaching and non-teaching cadres.
In a press conference here today Rahul Sharma, district secretary of ABRSM demanded constitution of time bound departmental promotion committee for all the teaching and non-teaching cadres.
He also said that annual transfer drive started by the government should be expedited for the benefit of teaching cadre working in hard zones and far flung areas since last so many years.
Sharma said that there should be no delay in issuing transfer list and pay anomalies of teaching and non-teaching cadres should be removed.
Other demands raised in the press conference were opening of Model Schools in border and remote areas of J&K and handsome allowance for posting in border areas.
ABRSM also demanded increase of medical allowance of teachers and non-teaching staff to Rs. 1000 and termed it as their long pending demand.
