KATHUA, Sept 19: In continuation to its war against drugs Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP, R C Kotwal, today nabbed one drug peddler with six grams of heroin like contraband.
Police said a team led by SHO Police Station (PS), Kathua Inspector, Om Parkash Chib under the supervision of Dy SP Headquarters Kathua, Shammi Kumar during naka checking duty near Sports Stadium Kathua apprehended one suspect namely Sunil Kumar, son of Lt. Mani Ram of Ward No. 2 tehsil and district Kathua. On thorough checking approximately six grams of Heroin like contraband was recovered from his possession. Meanwhile all the recovered material was seized and person involved was arrested.
A case vide FIR No. 418/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Kathua and started further investigation into the case.
