Four injured as concrete mixer truck plunges into gorge

RAMBAN, Sept 20: Four persons were injured, one of them critically injured when a concrete mixer truck plunged into a gorge in Nikabass Ind area.
The mishap occurred on late Sunday night near under-construction Railway Tunnel. According to the reports, a concrete mixer truck bearing registration number HP65-8580 was on its way from Barala to Nikabass Ind when on reaching near T-15 tunnel, the vehicle rolled down into a 20-30 feet gorge.
In the mishap, driver of the vehicle namely Kuldeep Singh (30) son of Mir Chand, resident of Surjan Dar (tehsil and district Reasi) received serious injuries while three others also received minor injuries. They were identified as Omkar Singh (56) son of Shablu Dass of Reasi, Sanjeet Singh (22) son of Thakur Dass of Chashwa (Gool) and Shabir Ahmed Hussain (33) of Halla dundrath (Ramban).
All the injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Ramban for treatment while the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
