UT status responsible for discrimination with Jammu: Namrta

JAMMU, Sept 20: Apni Party, provincial president, Women Wing, Jammu, Namrta Sharma claimed that discrimination with Jammu will end only with the restoration of statehood.
Addressing a public meeting in Shastri Nagar, Namrta said Union Territory status is the main cause of discrimination with Jammu which needs to be removed as early as possible and State status should be restored to J&K without any further delay.
During the function, renowned educationist Amrit Choudhary joined Apni Party in the presence of Namrta Sharma.
Welcoming her into party fold, Namrta said that Jammu is at crossroads where traders are facing problems in their business and educated youth are not able to find employment.
“Job opportunities have reduced and business is sinking with every passing day and outsiders are permitted to work and invest in Jammu,” claimed Namrta appealing the people of Jammu to get united and oppose any attempt to erode the constitutional rights of the people of Jammu.
Among those who attended the meeting were senior vice-presidents Pavneet Kour and Jyoti Vaid; provincial secretary Parvinder Kour, Meenu Sharma, Rakhi Mehra and others.
